Easter came early this year.\u00a0 I feel like we just got over Christmas.\u00a0 But, Easter is my favorite holiday for so many reasons.\u00a0\u00a0 The main reason is that we celebrate the risen Christ who died for every one of us on the cross.\u00a0 He arose the third day.\u00a0 Many saw Him after he arose\u00a0and many saw him ascend into heaven. He is coming back one day, you know.\u00a0 He is coming to gather His church and set the world aright.\u00a0 He can come back for you, too, if you believe in Him and ask Him into your life.<\/p>\n

Easter means Easter bunnies and eggs and baskets and candy.\u00a0 Easter eggs are a symbol of the new life we receive when we accept Christ into our lives.\u00a0 I don’t know where the Easter bunny came from.\u00a0 It’s a fun time for children.\u00a0 After church, where we had a wonderful cantata performed, we came home and had dinner with family.\u00a0\u00a0 We\u00a0had Kentucky fried chicken because I was too lazy to fry my own, scalloped potatoes, home grown corn, biscuits that I made myself, a wonderful salad my son-in-law prepared, cake and cupcakes.\u00a0 It was good.<\/p>\n

The kids were so excited about the Easter egg hunt.\u00a0\u00a0There were 150 eggs hidden all over the yard, some with candy and some with slips of paper they could redeem for dollar bills.<\/p>\n

David had to guard the door before the hunt.\u00a0 See those faces?\u00a0\u00a0They are already looking for the eggs.<\/p>\n

Then they were let loose and the hunt began.<\/p>\n

Our granddaughter\u00a0looked so pretty in her floral dress.<\/p>\n

One of my grandsons in his fedora.\u00a0\u00a0He’s an old spirit in a young body.\u00a0 And he really looks cute in hats.<\/p>\n

This young ‘un can hunt eggs so\u00a0quickly.\u00a0\u00a0 He soon had a bag full.<\/p>\n

Afterwards we opened eggs to see how much money everyone received.\u00a0 They all did pretty well.<\/p>\n

My granddaughter\u00a0with her\u00a0money.<\/p>\n

Our handsome grandson.\u00a0 He is growing too fast.<\/p>\n

Our youngest grandson lost another tooth playing with his cousin.<\/p>\n

David enjoyed sitting on the front porch\u00a0visiting with everyone. Our new front porch\u00a0has become a wonderful place to gather.<\/p>\n

We even had a bunny for the day.<\/p>\n

Uh, we had another bunny also.\u00a0 This boy is\u00a0so much fun to be around.<\/p>\n
