We celebrated Easter today. Being a Christian, this is one of the most important days of the year. \u00a0Our Savior rose from the dead over two thousand years ago and lives today. \u00a0One day we will see Him again. \u00a0Easter isn’t about colored eggs, the Easter bunny or baskets of candy. Those are fun, but it’s not what Easter is all about. \u00a0It’s about a risen Savior who came to earth to live and He died on the cross for every one of us in the world. He loves us that much. \u00a0 \u00a0He arose from the dead and sits at the right hand of God, His Father, and one day He will come again to gather his church and judge us all. \u00a0Our church choir sang an amazing cantata today and it was wonderful to be in church this morning. \u00a0Wish you could have heard it.<\/p>\n

We had a family get together today also. \u00a0I always enjoy having family around. \u00a0We took pictures.<\/p>\n

Two of our three children were here. \u00a0Am I getting shorter or are my children still growing?<\/p>\n

Three of our grandchildren and our daughter-in-love were here.<\/p>\n

This is our daughter and her family. \u00a0 Shoes were optional. \u00a0Now I know why I wanted these big wide steps. \u00a0For picture taking!<\/p>\n

We had an Easter egg hunt after dinner. \u00a0There were one hundred and three eggs to find, plus a golden egg with money inside. \u00a0Grandkids always like candy and money.<\/p>\n

The smaller boys got to hunt in a special area. \u00a0They wouldn’t have a chance with their bigger cousin standing there.<\/p>\n

Then they all hunted the rest of the eggs. \u00a0It didn’t take them long to find all but two of them.<\/p>\n

It was a fun day and a tiring day. \u00a0Not a half hour after everyone had left David and I both fell asleep. \u00a0Him in his recliner and me on the couch and I slept for two solid hours. \u00a0Not saying we were worn out or anything, but we were tired.<\/p>\n

The building of our porch is going gung ho.<\/p>\n

This big truck parked across the street with our lumber.<\/p>\n

With this vehicle, it was easy to unload the lumber to our yard.<\/p>\n

The steps looked like this just a couple of days ago.<\/p>\n

The cedar siding is going up on the house. I am going to stain this.<\/p>\n

Piles of lumber still sit on the porch for the railings and the rest of the siding. \u00a0My little magnolia tree has made it through all the tearing down and building up. \u00a0It opened its flowers fully this morning, just in time for Easter.<\/p>\n
