<\/a><\/p>\nHere is the patio before. I use to spend hours on my hands and knees pulling the weeds from between the blocks. Looks like something from Jurassic Park.<\/p>\n
Here is the patio being pored. \u00a0One young man did all the labor from digging out the space,to laying down rocks( he even spread the leftover rocks onour drive which made our drive much better and he did not charge us for it) to spreading and smoothing the concrete. \u00a0And they say Americans won\u2019t do the hard jobs? \u00a0He was a hard worker. The work ethic is alive.<\/p>\n Smooth, at last! \u00a0We love it. Now we are in the process of putting flowers around it and we bought a new bench to put on it to sit upon. The puppies love it, too.<\/p>\n Our strawberries were prolific. I froze several \u00a0quarts and we have been eating them almost every day for a month. \u00a0Fresh strawberries taste so much sweeter than those bought at the grocery store. \u00a0These strawberry plants will continue to spread like a ground cover so next year we should have lots more.<\/p>\n Our old dog, Molly will be eleven this year. \u00a0Seems like we just got her. She loves our new patio, too, although in this picture we still had our old one. We started giving her hemp oil for dogs and I really believe it has helped her. \u00a0She was getting a bad limp and it isn\u2019t as bad.<\/p>\n We took most of the plants out of the greenhouse and planted some new ones in pots and planters outside. \u00a0I will have to show you pictures another day, but I will show you a plant we bought at Lowe\u2019s the other day. Made me think of Little Shop of Horrors.<\/p>\n After doing some research on it, we found it is an invasive plant so it will stay in a pot and not get put with flowers in the ground! Mother\u2019s Day came and went. \u00a0This is my mother\u2019s graduation picture. \u00a0She was senior class president. \u00a0A woman before her time. \u00a0She was a voracious reader. My aunt, her sister, once told me that when she was a girl she would even read while she was ironing. \u00a0Don\u2019t know how she did that. \u00a0She taught me the love of reading and gardening. She also taught me how to cook through osmosis because I rarely cooked while I was home, but I watched how she did things and I am a reasonably good cook. \u00a0She was a wonderful mother and I still miss her.<\/p>\n My older son sent me flowers.They were very pretty.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n

\nSpeaking of Audrey, I got her in my greenhouse. \u00a0Hope she doesn\u2019t grow too big! \u00a0Ha!<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a>
