Don&#8217;t know why, just did.\u00a0 Outhouses are pretty much a thing of the past in most places and I thought it would be a neat reminder.\u00a0 Just a note.\u00a0 Grandma Henley&#8217;s rhubarb patch was directly behind her outhouse and she had the best rhubarb patch I have ever seen.\u00a0 We use to go there and pick the rhubarb to make pie. Once the outhouse was gone, the rhubarb died.\u00a0 Coincidence?\u00a0 I don&#8217;t think so.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/snicklefritz.net\/blog\/?attachment_id=1327\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1327\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1327\" alt=\"DSCN6395\" src=\"https:\/\/snicklefritz.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/DSCN6395-500x375.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/snicklefritz.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/DSCN6395-500x375.jpg 500w, https:\/\/snicklefritz.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/DSCN6395-150x112.jpg 150w, https:\/\/snicklefritz.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/DSCN6395-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/snicklefritz.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/DSCN6395-624x468.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>David put up this cute shelf to hold all the medicines, organic sprays, garlic and food for the chickens.\u00a0 He put it up high enough that the chickens can&#8217;t reach it.\u00a0 Garlic, you ask?\u00a0 Although you should never feed your chickens onions and garlic is part of the onion family,\u00a0I learned that just a tiny bit in their feed stops mites and lice.\u00a0 Also a little apple cider vinegar in their drinking water keeps them from getting worms.\u00a0 So far, so good.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/snicklefritz.net\/blog\/?attachment_id=1323\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1323\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1323\" alt=\"DSCN6387\" src=\"https:\/\/snicklefritz.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/DSCN6387-500x375.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/snicklefritz.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/DSCN6387-500x375.jpg 500w, https:\/\/snicklefritz.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/DSCN6387-150x112.jpg 150w, https:\/\/snicklefritz.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/DSCN6387-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/snicklefritz.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/DSCN6387-624x468.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>David built this handicap ramp for Freedom so that she could get up with the other chickens when they roost at night. I got the recipe for it from Fresh\u00a0Eggs Daily also.\u00a0 I love when the coop is all clean and smells so fresh.\u00a0 I almost want to lock the doors and not allow the chicks to get inside, but that would be wrong, wouldn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n<p>Something happened today that made me think we may be getting our first egg soon.
